Heartland Conservation Alliance relies on the hard work, expertise, and passionate dedication of our Board and Steering Council members. We believe our leaders must represent and reflect diversity, embracing it in all the communities where we work, in order to achieve our conservation goals. We are committed to fostering an inclusive network of partners in all kinds of communities, from rural to urban. 

Expectation of Service

Members of the Board of Directors serve a two-year term and are responsible for sound fiduciary oversight and governance of Heartland Conservation Alliance, a 501c3 organization. They ensure sound business management of and compliance with the organization's bylaws and ensuring the organization succeeds in fulfilling its mission. Heartland Conservation Alliance believes growth is achieved through a variety of voices and experiences.
