Alliance Services Program Update

On Saturday, June 26 and Wednesday, June 30, HCA and the Blue River Urban Waters Federal Partnership will share the research collected from the April “Water for All” listening sessions and ask for the community’s reaction. The events are virtual and free, and participants can register for the Zoom link here. Participants can attend either the Saturday or the Wednesday event.

Participants in the June listening sessions will have the chance to express their opinions about the research and offer further perspectives that will guide the development of the “Water Equity Roadmap.” The Roadmap follows a model developed by the US Water Alliance to outline issues in communities around equitable access to water. They piloted the roadmap concept with 6 cities who each published a report.

The theme of the 2021 Annual Partnership Summit will be “The Blue River Story Project” and is a continuation of the Mid-America Regional Emmy – Award winning Blue River Documentary. Submissions are currently open to all who live in the Blue River Watershed. Submissions will be showcased at Heartland Conservation Alliance's Annual Partnership Summit and will demonstrate the importance of connection and partnerships, brought together by the Blue River.

For more information about how to submit, visit the Renew the Blue website.

The next Partnership Work Group meeting will be Tuesday, 7/6/21 at 5pm.
