Be sure to save the date! The 8th Annual Partnership Summit on Tuesday, October 5 brings the Blue River alive through an exhibit featuring stories from The Blue River Story Project. On August 25 HCA, The Center for Neighborhoods, Heart of the City Neighborhood, and Mid-America Regional Council hosted a second listening session about illegal dumping in the Kansas City metro region. The grassroots effort is creating a regional strategy to discover effective solutions and catalyze action to eliminate illegal dumping. Four task force committees (enforcement, education, infrastructure and data) were created and will reconvene in November to review progress on the strategic planning.
