Heartland Conservation Alliance has had the opportunity to serve on the Marlborough Park Advisory Committee as part of the Marlborough Park Improvement Plan led by Hoxie Collective and Kansas City Parks and Rec. The Improvement Plan seeks to improve aspects of Marlborough Park to better serve the community in the future. As part of that effort, HCA joined Hoxie Collective and the Marlborough Community Coalition at Marlborough Park to use iNaturalist and discover the plants and wildlife in the park. The event concluded when participants gathered together and discussed possible additions and improvements that could be made to Marlborough Park.
If you’re interested in learning more about the project, join the Plan team on October 20 for a community workshop from 6 pm to 8 pm to work through plans and priorities for Marlborough Park. This workshop will be held at The Borough (8026 The Paseo, Kansas City, MO 64131). Visit the website to learn more.
