On July 1 HCA launched the third year of the Exploring Roots Summer Adventure Challenge. Over 200 attendees have registered for the event. July's featured hike is at Hidden Valley Park. Everyone who registers has a chance to win prizes from local businesses and organizations. Check out the registration page for more information about upcoming trail locations, prizes, and other exciting outdoor activities.
On July 7, Jalen Holloway, HCA Outdoor Education Coordinator & Blue River Nature Guide, and Jess Hartel, HCA Conservation Program Manager, participated in the Science in the Park event at English Landing Park. The event was led by our partners at Parkville Nature Sanctuary. HCA provided plant-focused and conservation-based activities for 30 children.
HCA will return for the next Science in the Park on July 21 at 10:00 a.m. Everyone is encouraged to join the event for wildlife-focused activities!
