On Saturday, July 29, Jalen Holloway, HCA's Outdoor Education Coordinator & Blue River Nature Guide successfully led a late July nature hike at Hidden Valley Park Trail. Everyone who joined us found our Exploring Roots signage, participated in a plant scavenger hunt, and received a free t-shirt!
On Tuesday, July 1 we also began the second month of the Exploring Roots Summer Adventure Challenge. You can find the signs by visiting the Alex George Wetland at Blue River Parkway! So far, we have almost 300 participants for this event. Everyone who registers, completes a hike, and takes a selfie by an Exploring Roots sign will earn July's small prizes. And keep your eyes on our social media, we can’t wait for you to see this month’s grand prize.
